- American Diabetes Association (ADA): DiaMed collects and tracks program and patient data necessary
to demonstrate compliance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education. DiaMed is reflective of the most
current Education Recognition Program
requirements and diabetes management standards mandated by the ADA.
- American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE): The most recent AADE recommendations and 'best practices'
are integrated into DiaMed, including the AADE 7
Self-Care Behaviors.
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA): Chiron Data Systems' technology experts continue to monitor the guidelines established
by HIPAA legislation. As a company, we are committed to maintaining HIPAA compliance and routinely provide
updates to our customers to ensure that goal.
- Legal: When a
patient chart is created or viewed in
DiaMed, it is date, time and user-stamped,
which not only identifies and resolves
inappropriate user activities, but also
quantifies patient encounters by user.
